What to Expect from Your Eye Exam for Contact Lenses
We’re equipped to fit contact lenses for children as young as 5 years old. Regardless of age, our goal is to ensure that every patient receives the right fit and care.
Our initial contact lens consultation and fitting typically lasts between 15 and 45 minutes, during which we’ll conduct a thorough assessment to ensure contact lenses are a suitable option for you.
Corneal health examination – We’ll check the health of your cornea to ensure that contact lenses won’t cause any issues.
Lens fit assessment – We’ll check how well the contact lenses fit your eyes to ensure maximum comfort and effectiveness.
Prescription check – We’ll verify that your contact lens prescription is accurate, helping you see as clearly as possible.
Topographical mapping – We’ll create a map of your cornea, helping us detect any changes and achieve the best fit for your lenses.
Teaching session – We’ll teach you how to insert and remove your contact lenses, and offer free in-office trials before you make a commitment.
Follow-up visits – We’ll ensure your contact lenses continue to fit well and your vision remains clear, offering 1-2 follow-up visits, each lasting around 15 minutes.

To monitor the health of your eyes and ensure your contact lenses are working as intended, we recommend regular aftercare appointments. While we don’t offer a monthly contact lens care scheme, we’re always available to support you with any concerns or adjustments needed.
